A British man charged with breaking into 97 computers belonging to NASA, the
U.S. Department of Defense and several branches of the U.S. military soon
after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks is to be extradited to the USA to
stand trial, according to reports from the UK this morning. Gary McKinnon
lost an appeal in the British High Court to have the extradition order
stayed.
In a 41-page ruling Judge Stanley Burnton ruled that extradition was "a
lawful and proportionate response to his offending."
